2 - Summer Whispers

Gather these supplies

  • 1 Silver lined turquoise bead
  • 1 Pack of assorted blue, green, pink and white beads
  • 1 Pack of small star beads
  • 1 Pack of clear bugle beads
  • 3m 0.4mm Fine wire
  • 1 Lobster clasp

1 Jump ring

Here’s how

1 Cut three stands of very fine wire each 1m long. Hold all the strands together and bend in half. Thread a lobster clasp on to the fold and twist the wires together to hold. Thread a small turquoise bead onto all six ends and push up to cover the twists.

2 Taking just one strand, thread on a bead, then loop the wire around the beads and back down through the hole. Leave a gap of approx 1cm and repeat for the next bead.  Add a bugle bead without looping between beads in some locations. Thread on 10 –12 looped beads and 5 or 6 bugle beads on each strand. Varying position and colours as you go.

3 Repeat on all 6 strands and bend the wire softly with your finger to all curves. Thread all six strands through a blue bead and then through the feature bead.

3 - Fabric beaded bracelet

Gather these supplies

  • A mix of faux suede cords
  • 2 Spacer beads
  • 4 Pastel glass beads
  • 3 Textile felt beads
Here’s how

1 Cut 4 different colours of faux suede cord to length of 16” (41cm).

2 Tie an overhand knot with all threads at one end, then slice the loose ends into ‘points’ as this will help thread the beads.

3 Use overhand knots to secure beads into random positions on the cords. (Occasionally thread two strands through the beads with the bigger holes so that the strands are mixed up and held together when worn rather than separating out).

4 When the bracelet meets the required length tie all the strand ends together with an overhand knot.

5 Trim both ends neatly and add ribbon clamps to secure cords.

6 Use jump rings to attach the clasp findings.
